Can we agree that risk and return are related? The more risk, the higher the expected return. This is to make sure the investor is compensated for taking the investment risk. Make sense?
If there’s a low risk investment offering 10% returns (I’ve been served such adverts online) and the return of cash is a long way below that, then something’s not quite right. Alarm bells should be ringing. Loudly.
A 10% annual return is high, compared to a 2% return on cash in the bank (low risk).
